REVELSTOKE DAM
BC Hydro's Revelstoke Dam, one of North America's largest and most modern hydro-electric developments, is located just 4 km / 2.5 miles north on Highway # 23. The Visitor Centre is open from mid-April through mid-October, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, seven days a week.

REVELSTOKE FORESTRY MUSEUM
The Forestry Museum offers a visual and historical depiction of forestry in Revelstoke and the Province of British Columbia. Located on Highway #23 North, at the entrance to the Revelstoke Dam.

NICKELODEON MUSEUM

REVELSTOKE RAILWAY MUSEUM
The Museum houses the beautifully restored CPR locomotive #5468. Built in 1948 for the Revelstoke Division, the Mikado P-2k 2-8-2 is an awesome representation of the Big Steam Era. This is one of the larger steam engines ever used on CPR lines. The museum has been built to house the Mikado class steam engine/business car, and emphasizes the artifacts, archives, and railway rolling stock of the Big Steam Era.

MOUNT REVELSTOKE NATIONAL PARK
Have you ever experienced centuries old rainforest and lakes? Bird-watching, hiking and camping are some of the most popular activities at Mount Revelstoke National Park, a place of incredible contrasts. The 260 sq km/100 sq mi park is known for its spectacular summer sub alpine wildflower meadows and rugged peaks. The peak of Mount Revelstoke can be reached by traveling the 26 km (15 mi), Meadows-In-The-Sky Parkway which takes visitors through a dense rain forest of cedar and pine, sub alpine forest and meadows. It also offers a spectacular view of the ice-clad peaks of the Monashee Range and, on the eastern horizon, the Selkirk Mountains. Most summer visitors drive the parkway to Balsam Lake. From here the mountain can be explored on a number of hiking trails. web link

ARROW LAKES PROVINCIAL PARK
Arrow Lakes Provincial Park has a small lakeside campground. Day picnicing and boating. They have a boat launch, and are located near the Galena Bay and Shelter Bay ferry. web link

MARTHA CREEK PROVINCIAL PARK
This luscious park is located behind the reservoir for Revelstoke Hydro Dam on the east side of Lake Revelstoke. There is a playground and boat launch. web link

BLANKET CREEK PROVINCIAL PARK
The main feature is the 12 meter high Sutherland Falls, as well as remains of a long deserted farm site. The Monashee Mountains are to the west, and the park is located at the northwestern end of Upper Arrow Lakes. web link

 SUGGESTED DAY TRIPS

TRIP ONE
Start your day with a short 5 km trip to the Revelstoke Dam, stop first at the Forestry Museum located right at the gates to the Hydro Dam and enjoy the exhibits and guess the age of the Engelmann Spruce, you can win a prize. Then continue to the dam entrance and enjoy the interpretive section and two-storey Visitor Centre is located atop the west end of the powerhouse. Make sure you go all the way to the top to enjoy the view from the 175 meter high dam overlooking the valley. Drive to the Hillcrest for a lunch on the patio. And for the afternoon drive east towards Calgary for 35 km / 22 miles to Canyon Hot Springs. Time spent in the mineral pools is a great way to relieve the aches and pains of traveling while you relax and enjoy the pools and surrounding scenery. Make sure you are back in evening to enjoy dinner and an awesome sunset from our restaurant or patio.

TRIP TWO
Drive along scenic HWY#23 South for 50 km / 31 miles to Shelter Bay and take a short complimentary ferry trip across the arrow lake to Galena Bay. Make sure you have your camera ready. The view is magnificent. Then a short 10 minute drive to Halcyon Hot Springs. There the water beckons all year long! Swirl away tensions in the natural mineral spring pools featuring a spectacular view overlooking serene Arrow Lake and the Monashee mountain range. Halcyon's beneficial hot mineral waters have a unique combination of sodium, lithium, magnesium, calcium, & strontium which can provide relief from arthritis and osteoporosis as well as naturally soothing away muscle tension. The pools are open 365 days a year. From Halcyon you take a scenic boat ride to Fosthall Falls with a stop at the mouth of Pingston Creek (advance booking required). A short hike up the trail and into the falls, gives you a chance to enjoy the cool mist spray and the surrounding area. The trip is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, and leaves from Halcyon Hot Springs 9:30 am and 1:30 pm. Other arrangements can be made in advance. We suggest you arrange the boat tour a day in advance through Halcyon Hot springs.

TRIP THREE
Following HWY #1 west 19 km / 12 miles you will make your first stop at Three Valley Gap they feature over 25 historic buildings and Ghost Town tours. Continue west on HWY #1 for another 14 km / 9 miles to the Enchanted Forest. The Enchanted Forest features attractions for all ages. From the very young children to the young at heart seniors, our British Columbia attractions are sure to provide you memories of a lifetime. Continue for another 5 km / 3 miles and you will arrive at Crazy Creek suspension bridge. Experience the sensation of our suspension bridge spanning 240 feet across the canyon in front of the waterfalls as rapids roar through boulders 85 feet below. The ribbon-type suspension bridge is a fun experience for young and old. The design is well-suited for a pedestrian crossing over the deep canyon and was constructed with minimum impact upon the environment. Across the road is a seasonal fruit stand. Afterwards Head East and take a leisurely drive back to Revelstoke and enjoy a revitalizing dip in our whirlpool.
